Miner’s Memorial

The Victoria Labour Council will be in attendance at the 40th Anniversary of the Miner’s Memorial weekend in Cumberland BC. For the full schedule check it out HERE. We will gather to honour the lost lives and the struggles of all workers who fought to make working conditions better for everyone.
This event takes place over the weekend of June 12-14, 2026 and is open to everyone. The VLC will be set up at the Comox Lake Campground for the weekend. Please stop by and say hi if you come up! look for the blue tent.
Friday evening begins with the Songs of the Workers at the Cumberland Cultural Centre.
Saturday begins with a pancake breakfast, followed by the Graveside Vigil and visits to the Chinese and Japanese Cemeteries. Events continue throughout the weekend.
Camping is available at the Comox Lake Campground.
